Did you know? Kerstin Martensson was the President of Kwik Sew pattern co. inc and was known as one of the foremost home economists. Kerstin was born in Gothenburg, Sweden and educated in both Sweden and England. She specialized in clothing construction, pattern design and fashion. She lectured throughout the world on her techniques to make sewing faster, easier and more fun.

Kerstin founded Kwik Sew patterns in 1967 to make patterns for stretch fabrics, as at that time none of the established pattern companies had patterns for this type of fabric.
